I went to Michael's with Mom yesterday and was very happy to find that they now carry a nice variety of Tim Holtz product. I had to have this set of paint daubers as they match the May Cocoa Daisy kit sooooo perfectly!! I love how vibrant this kit, I am still playing with it! I got a couple of the add-ons including the patterned paper one, so there really is no end in site :)
Here are the two layouts I did for a couple of the challenges that were posted during the on-line crop last weekend!
This first one was inspired by this ad that Anna used in her challenge:
the ad:
and what I came up with:
I will be posting a tutorial on how to do the subtitle (nose to nose) on Saturday. Very easy little process you can do with ink and paint.
This last one was inspired by the Enigma CD cover that was a part of Ronda's challenge:
I was drawn to the circles (surprise surprise-LOL) and the graphic title from the CD cover. This is what I came up with:
Have a great night!

A sneak peak at the May project kit.
The project kit for May was based on this album that I created for Memory Makers. So I wanted to show you this one before we get to the sneak peek of the one I created for the May project kit. I loved creating this altered mini album so I have been saving up some print sample books for the May project kit! (Scroll down to see the sneak of the album I did for the May project kit.)
Each kit has a different print sample book - the idea is not to recreate what I have done exactly but more on how to alter the books. There is no set theme either so you can adapt it however you choose. The album I created for May is a little more on the graphic side (due to the cool graphics that are printed in the sample book) while the Nature album that I did for Memory Makers is more soft and neutral. I used a lot of the same materials to show how easy it is to adapt them to the album theme and your own personal style.
Here are a few of the print sample books in their original state:

I will post a full reveal of the album/kit on May 1st when it goes up for sale at Cocoa Daisy. Make sure to stop back on May 1st as I will be giving away a print sample book as a RAK too!

Layouts background
Charlene asked a question about the background on the layout I did for the sketch challenge. I created the background using acrylic paint. I used a rubber brayer with the taupe colored paint, bubble wrap for the blue paint and for the red paint I watered it down and put it in a little spray bottle and spritzed the background. :) All kinds of fun crazy ways to play with paint!
I will post my sneak for the May project kit shortly. And at 3pm at Cocoa Daisy I will be posting a fun project you can do for Mother's day.
