a couple things

First it's Monday -and my MMM post is up, go check it out!

And it is time for my Cocoa Daisy October Project kit, of course I had to do one of my favorite types of mini albums - Halloween! I love to do Halloween mini albums - there are always so many fun embellishments out there when it comes to the Halloween theme - and I about hit the floor at CHA when I saw that glitter tree from Fancy Pants, I knew it had to be a part of my project kit. I also fell in love with the halloween line from Making Memories - so you will find plenty of that in the the kit as well! Goes up for sale at Cocoa Daisy on October 1st and as always a complete set of instructions is included! Have a great Monday!

I am so lucky....

....I have the best group of scrapping buddies! Seriously! I scrapped with my MI SiSters today and I have not seen most of them in a really long time, but it doesn't matter how long it has been as soon as we see each other we just pick up right were we left off. I am so happy to have such a funny, creative group of women to call my friends! You know I love you all!! Can't wait to see you again real soon! :)

Random Tuesday

Life was crazy this last week so I am behind on posting my I Inspire Me layout (come to think about it I didn't post the one before that either!) so here is some I Inspire me goodies:

IIM pillow theme, and I basically just copied the design on the pillows using paint and my sewing machine. I made a quick knot with some tulle for some added texture.
This was my inspiration:

and this is the resulting card:

IIM windows and doors theme, I was inspired by my front door - in fact I was inspired to scrap it! :) I just used this quote in a mini I completed and it worked perfect for this layout, I was also inspired by the folds of fabric in my dining room drape. I used a piece of Amy Butler Fabric and pleated it behind the photo.

On another note I am happy to report that we have the white rhino Power Ranger living in our house and thankfully we are now safe from the "forces of evil" :)

Have a great day!

good news a sneak peek and antiques

How was that for a title!
Well first the good news, the October Afternoon paper that we were waiting on for the Sept. project kit is on it's way!!! So happy about that! I am also happy about this little mini album I am doing for the October project kit, I adore doing Halloween mini albums I think they are my favorite! This is just a sneak peek though so I am not saying anymore, I will post the rest of it in a few days :)

Now to the antiques. We hit a couple of our favorite spots this weekend and this is what I came home with. I am so drawn to anything with type on it, so I could not pass up the enjoy mug - in orange no less!! The little revive espresso cups will be perfect for holding the left over bits that accumulate on my scrap desk. I was thrilled when I saw the "frog", I have been wanting one of these to hold my cards when I photograph them. The little ceramic birds are going to be added to my collection of white birds that I have scattered throughout my scraproom. Last but not least the wire locker baskets!!! I was so psyched to find them and at $10 bucks they were a steal - not sure what they will hold yet :)

Oh and I just posted the mid-month challenge over at Cocoa Daisy, go check it out.

That's it for now - have a great Thursday!

Sept. project kit info.

We have had some problems getting all the papers for the September project kit "our HOME". The Basic Grey Offbeat is being sent out on it's own, as the kits have already shipped, so be on the look out for that. The biggest problem we are having is with the October Afternoon "Cozy Home" paper, which is what I used on the front and back covers of the album, I am not happy with this company right now, at first they said they would not have it to us on time, but then they sent me a sample sheet and said they would have it to us on time - I was thrilled because it really is perfect for this album. Well now we find out they are moving their office cross country and we still have no paper!!! I am so sorry for this, we really try so hard to make sure your kits are totally complete - I know how frustrating it can be to get a kit in the mail, want to get started on it and then not have everything you need! I will keep you all posted and let you know when the October Afternoon paper will be mailed to you just as soon as I find out, in the mean time you can work on all the interior pages of the kit as the October Afternoon paper was not used on any of those pages. Thank you for understanding and again I am so sorry for any inconvenience!

I am so far behind on this, I have been tagged by three wonderful ladies; Amy Peterman, Summer Fullerton and Sharie
So here are the rules:

(1) The winner can put the logo on their blog.

(2) Link the person you received your award from.

(3) Nominate at least 7 other blogs. (I've also seen 6...)

(4) Put links of those on yours.

(5) Leave a message on the blogs of the girls or boys you’ve nominated.

Amber Bretz -the best friend a girl could have-and she's really talented too! :)
Anna B. -one of my fellow Cocoa Daisy girls, her blog is in Swedish - but it doesn't matter, her layouts are pure eye candy.
Greta Baksa -One of my MI SiSters, I love her style and she is an awesome photographer!
Kim Watson -another fellow Cocoa Daisy girl, she creates such beautiful layers!
Stephanie Howell - a real sweetheart and I love her shabby, girly, vintage chic layouts!
And my last pick is the I Inspire Me blog and all the talented ladies that contribute to it - they blow me away with every post!

There is my small list - I could nominate so many more, I have so many wonderful talented friends out here in blog land!

Holiday Weekend!

We had a wonderful holiday weekend with family up north at my parent's cottage on Drummond Island. The weather was perfect, we took plenty of walks, rode on the Sea-Dos, went fishing, ate way to much food and threw countless rocks into the lake!
Greg and I on the back deck.

Taking a walk.

Zach made a new best buddy - his cousin "Joshy".

Of course Deli Joe came with us.

We bought the boys the cutest carved sling shots and they had so much fun shooting rocks out into the lake.

That's it for now - have a great Wednesday!
