March Project Kit.

This month's project kit -"The ABCs of love" -for Cocoa Daisy is all about our furry or feathered friends. This little album is especially dear to my heart as a tribute to my sweet Deli Joe.
Here is the "official" description: This little tag mini album is full of warm colors and fuzzy textures - just like your favorite furry friend. 26 tags is plenty of room to hold your favorite photos and the words (from A-Z) that describe the personality of your pet. This mini will give you a place to keep a very complete record of all the things that make your pet such a special part of your life. Now with all that said there really is no rule that you have to use this kit for your pet - you can most definitely use it for a small mini about a child, significant other or even to showcase your home - endless possibilities :) The kit will be available March 1st and as always a full set of instructions is included with each kit.

I cannot write in a straight line to save my life so I used a journaling stamp from Close to My Heart to create some nice straight journaling lines on the back of each page. This stamp is not included in the kit.

Have a great night!

What a wonderful weekend!

We had a great weekend up north at my parent's cottage on Drummond Island. Plenty of relaxing -and eating :)
Here are a few of the highlights;

The view of the lake from the deck:

This picture is for Grams and Poppy (I knew you would love the hats Mom!)

As some of you may know, Deli was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago and unfortunately this will probably be his last trip with us to the island, so I made sure we took plenty of photos of him.

Grammy and Zach playing in the snow:

Cuddles with Daddy by the fire:

Lots of snacks:

The Birthday boy -Happy Birthday Dad!!

Plenty of time for pretending:

Our last afternoon -and yes it really was as cold out as it looks!

Randomness!

OK - first of all we had a wonderful Valentines day, Greg sent me these (my favorite):

and we took this goofy photo of ourselves:

We knew it would be crazy busy trying to go out to eat on Valentine night so we had Mom watch the boys while we had a Valentine lunch. Then Greg took me a local scrap store to do a little shopping (isn't he the best - he even *gasp* went into the store with me!).

I have been meaning to post these pictures of the munchkins for Grams and Poppy:
Here is Nate still missing ALL four of his top front teeth - he has such a lisp when he talks, it is so funny:

And this one of Zach -yes that is snow all over his chin, he won't stop eating the snow :)

As promised here are a few sneaks of what I have been working on for Cocoa Daisy using the March kit -it is so scrumptious!

I am going to start working on March's project kit this weekend (while we relax at my parent's cottage on Drummond Island) and I will post some pictures of that when I return! Have a wonderful weekend!

Wow!! Way to long between posts...

promise to be back later today with some sneaks and assorted other goodies!

Need your thoughts and prayers

Fellow Master, Daisy Diva and Friend, Ronda suffered an enormous loss today - the death of her little sister. Please take a moment to pray for her and her family as the go through the long heart wrenching process of grieving. Keep her in your thoughts this weekend as she and her family have such a hard road ahead of them.

Children's Valentines

I wanted to do a little something different for Nate to hand out as Valentines this year -not just candy, so I bought some Valentine pencils and erasers for him to hand out. The only problem was how to wrap them? Well I was looking around in my scrap closet and I saw my stash of paper towel tubes (I use them when I need a painted circle) and thought that they would make the perfect containers for some Valentine goodies. I kept it pretty simple, some felt, punched scallops and strips of patterned paper. Of course we had to make sure that the boy's Valentines were not to "girlie" :). I have posted some of the how to photos over on the Cocoa Daisy blog, here.

Have a great Thursday!

Monday catch up.

We had a wonderfully uneventful weekend! In fact we spent most of Saturday in our pajamas! It was nice to just hang out as a family, the boys -"boys" means all three of them of course ;) played video games, built tunnels with the sofa cushions and I was able to get some scrappy stuff done. I was in a Valentine mood so I made some cute Valentine ATCs for my MMM blog post, go check them out here.

I also posted a fun little bit of layout inspiration/challenge over here.

And last but not least- isn't this little notecard/photo holder just too cute! I found him at Target and had to bring him home with me.

Have a great Monday!

Cocoa Daisy February projects.

I loved the color combinations in this months kit plenty of grey and orange and red and teal, so many wonderful possibilities!
Here is what I created:

Our guest designer this month is Vee Jennings and I adore the way that girl can splatter paint! So in honor of her being our guest DT I splattered a little paint of my own.

I added a list of the book titles on the the little tag that slides behind the photo.

This one just makes me laugh ;) Love the color combo of bright red, white and teal.

The Prima stamp that came with the kit was just perfect for framing bits of patterned paper.

I made this little book to help me record my gardening notes and photos this year. Really wish I had one of these last year!
(The book is from Jenni Bowlin and was from my own stash.)

This little album (made from a Maya Road chipboard album) was a birthday gift for my Mom. These Graphic 45 papers from the kit were so her style. Mom likes to scrapbook too so I left the book unfinished, all she has to do is add her own photos, journaling and whatever extras she wants.

Thanks for looking through all those photos! Have a great Saturday, I am going to work on some fun Valentine projects!
