June Project kit.

Here it is - my Cocoa Daisy project kit for June! I have been wanting to do a family type mini album for a while now, but I just couldn't decide on the direction or "theme" that I wanted to take it. I knew that I did not want to do a big album with a lot of journaling - that is what my everyday layouts are for. So I came up with this little simple more factual mini. There is a 2-page spread for each member of your family (you can do immediate like I did or include grandparents etc.) even your family pet. On one page you have a recent photo and on the other page a place to put some facts about each person - their birth date, where they were born, their parents names, etc. I have also included a little pocket in the front of the album where you can write some of each family members current "favorites". The album comes with 10 interior pages (I only used 6) so there is plenty of room for bigger families too! As always kit goes up for sale on the 1st, and a complete set of instructions is included with each kit!
Have a great Friday!

MMM July/August issue

The theme for the Masters pieces in the latest issue of Memory Makers was "life challenges". I didn't feel comfortable creating a layout about challenges that I went through that involved other members of my family, i.e. my father's cancer. So I created a layout that was more about a challenging time in my life, a time of discovery I guess, growing as a person, finding my own way.
I loved the color combination and the butterfly which signifies "change". The self portrait was drawn by me in 1988!!! Yes I am that old!

Have a great Wednesday everyone!!

Remember this from my Butterflies layout? I posted a tutorial on some tips for using masks on the Heidi Swapp invisibles over at the Cocoa Daisy blog.

And as promised here are some sneak peeks from the Cocoa Daisy June kit:

I am busy working on a fun project kit for June, a great little mini that has "family" as the focus. I should have some pictures of it to share with you by Monday. Have a great night!

MMM blog post.

I created this layout for my Memory Makers blog post a couple weeks ago (click the link to read the whole story). I talked about the importance of scrapping with your "not so favorite" photos. I used the Cocoa Daisy May kit create it.

June Cocoa Daisy sneaks and the resist paper tutorial will be up tomorrow!! Have a great Friday.

Share any tips that you have discovered while working with each project and a great place to share what you created - I would LOVE to see what you all have done! Sample Book RAK!

There was such a great response to my project kit for May (thank you all very much by the way) so I searched around and I was able to scrounge up a couple more sample books, so I thought I would give them away as RAKs! I am also going to include a full set of instructions from the May project kit, so all you have to do is use your own stash to complete it. I have been asked where you can find these books and the best place to look is to find a local print shop and ask if they have any old paper sample books. To be entered into the RAK simply post a comment and tell me what the last thing you altered was. I will pick a winner Saturday night!
