Cocoa Daisy July kit and layouts!

It’s here! Our July Kit and add ons! We’ve had rave reviews from our Design Team about Note to Self, let us tell you why. We’ve got TWO alphabets, a whole pack of office themed tidbits, some fun mini paper clips, lots of vintage inspired papers, and a fabulous stamp set that you’ll come back to over and over again! And to make the kit even more special, we’ve included a sweet little metal note holder! We know you’ll love this kit as much as we do at Cocoa Daisy!

You can see all of July's add ons here in the store or here on the blog.

I do want to highlight one of the add ons, the To Do patterned paper add on was one of my favorites not hard to imagine, I know, as I am such a paper lover :)
Here are the fronts which are very lovely:
but I also loved the "b-sides"!

Here is what I created with this month's kit; little side note I do not know what was in the air this month or this kit was just that inspiring to me, but I finally got my creative drive back! It's been so long since I had the NEED to scrapbook and it felt sooo good to want to spend any spare moment I could creating, LOVE THAT FEELING!

"The Cocoa Daisy Staff"
I adore tags!! I knew I was going to use every bit of that Crate Paper tag paper. The little flag and badge are from the Take Note add on. The Work die cut is from the Embellishment Pack and the little arrow is from the days of the week stamp set. Background is Maya Mist Mustard.

"Fur Buddy"
All the little tidbits in this month's kit just screamed to be layered! And of course you all know how much I love tags ;) The washi tape and die cuts are from the Embellishment pack, the Note to Self sticker and the little flag are from the Take Note add on. I made the splats of ink in the background with the Maya Mist Antique Patina.

"Daily Boost"
Index tabs and book plate die cut are from the main kit. The October Afternoon little flag is from the Take Note add on. The alpha stickers and Thickers are from the Pencil In add on. I used a little bit of the Maya Mist Buttermilk Cream on the wood grain patterned paper.

"A promise"
I loved the papers so much in this kit that I had to do a layout using nice big chunks of them! The background is a mix of the Maya Mist Buttermilk Cream and Mustard. The little badge is from the Take Note add on.

on a personal note - yup that's my hand :) Jeffrey gave me the most beautiful promise ring,  that man just makes my heart happy!

Make sure you check out what the rest of the Design Team did with this month's kit in our gallery.

Have a great weekend!!

Cocoa Daisy July sneak peeks: Note to Self

We scrapbook because it’s important to get our lives and thoughts down on paper. Note to Self, our July kit, pays tribute to that concept. Filled with new releases from October Afternoon, My Mind’s Eye, Echo Park and an exclusive Cocoa Daisy Stamp Set you will be reaching for over and over again. Not to mention the very fun surprise we’ve included in each kit from 7gypsies. All of this combines to create a unique office themed kit, focused on capturing life, right now.

You will want to stop and Take Note of this month’s first add on. Perfectly coordinated items from October Afternoon, Crate Paper, Eve’s Studio and Jillibean combine to create an add on full of bright and happy tidbits that just make you want to get at your scrappy desk and play!

Make sure to Pencil In plenty of time to be creative when you open this, our second add on. Filled with product from Echo Park, American Crafts, Jenni Bowlin and a bit of “pretty” from Prima, this add on not only gives you great items to layer with, but will also enhance your titles and journaling.

The July Embellishment Pack is filled with so many fun bits and pieces, perfect for layering or adding that final little touch to your project. With product from October Afternoon, K&Co and Jenni Bowlin you will have plenty of embellishments to choose from.

Here is one To Do List you will be happy to tackle. This patterned paper add on is filled with beautiful papers from October Afternoon, Echo Park, Crate Paper, My Mind’s Eye and more. These patterned papers coordinate perfectly with the main kit and other add ons, giving you countless options to create.

Once again, we sold out of the June add ons very quickly. To avoid disappointment when kits and add ons sell out, sign up for a subscription. You’ll save some money with a six month subscription AND you’ll have a much better chance of getting everything you want for the month!
The July Stamps are amazing! We have really gone overboard this month and created THREE STAMP SETS! The tag below is just a little sneak of what is included with each set.

These stamps are so versatile they will have a permanent spot on your scrappy desk. Don’t miss out on them by signing up for a Stamp Subscription today. You’ll get the three stamps shown below for only $11 plus shipping and handling. You can buy the stamps separately, but you’ll save money with the subscription.
Have a wonderful weekend and make sure to come back and join us for the full reveal of the July Kit on the 28th at 9pm EST.

It's officially summer!

Well it's been almost two weeks now and I think we are getting into our summer rhythm. Staying up and getting up later, slow and easy breakfast with the cartoons on, eating dinner a little later and of course the best part NO HOMEWORK! Here are the boys watching a youtube video together before bedtime:

It's always a bit of an adjustment for me, trying to work from home with the boys here, but they have been so good and this summer they seem to really understand that Mommy is working, in fact they have been great little helpers!

Another sure sign of summer is that I have fresh herbs from the garden to use in the kitchen. Nothing makes plain old spaghetti better then some fresh Basil and Oregano!

The boys will be with their Daddy next week for his birthday and Father's day, so I am taking a couple days off to go see my Jeffrey :)

We are trying real hard to see each other every 4-6 weeks and so far this year we have done pretty well. Still miss him like crazy the minute he leaves, but when you love someone you just make it work.

I am hoping that Ronda and Emily will be home from their vacations so that we can meet up for lunch or coffee. I haven't seen them since CHA winter!

On the Cocoa Daisy side of things, we still have a couple June kits available:

Have a wonderful Wednesday! Make sure to check back on the 15th to see our July kit sneak peeks!

Energy and cinnamon rolls.

Say hello to my new best friend! I have never been much of an energy drinker, aside from a couple cups of coffee that is. The ones I have tried always leave me a bit too jittery, the 5 hour energy makes me strung out for more like 10 hours! But as of late I am finding myself dragging around 2pm and in real need of a boost! So I thought I would give this one a try, the carbs are pretty low and it has fruits and veggies in it, how can that be a bad thing! Well I love it! The taste is great, and it does the trick, a nice little pick me up in the afternoon.
What I find humorous about this photo though is the string of beverages on my desk, and you can't even see the two bottles of water. It seems I get bored with what I am drinking.

Seeing as how I am kind of on the subject of food I thought I would share this recipe for Cinnamon Crescent Rolls:

I need to get groceries but have not had the time so the big question was what to make for dinner. The boys love breakfast for dinner and I had eggs and sausage but no bread for toast. Back the depths of the fridge I found some crescent rolls and I remembered this recipe that I had pinned.
Mine did not look as pretty as these but they tasted sooooo good! Very quick and easy to make and they just melt in your mouth. So I highly recommend this one.

The June Cocoa Daisy main kit is sold out!
For those of you that scored one, I will start shipping them out tomorrow. We have a few of the embellishment kits left and we also set aside some of the stamps for Stamp Subscriptions, so if you missed out on the "Houses in a row" stamp you can still get it when you sign up for a stamp subscription.

That's it for today! I better get some sleep, I have boxes to pack tomorrow!!
