You can almost smell the salt in the air and hear the call of the seagulls when you open our March 2012 kit, Pier 39. We’ve blended bits and pieces reminiscent of the famous California coastal landmark: the fish, the sand, the shells, the wood pilings, even some flowers from a sea side vendor. Pink Paislee’s Nantucket, brand new Dear Lizzy from American Crafts, Crate Paper’s romantic Paper Heart’s line, Fancy Pants, and an exclusive Cocoa Daisy stamp come together in this lovely kit, sure to transport even the most landlocked scrapbookers to the water, if only by way of a kit.
The add ons sold out really quickly but we still have a few of the Fisherman's Wharf add ons available:
And here is what I created with the March kit:
This first one is for my One Little Word for 2012. I used the Smash Calendar Pocket to mat the photo with and I will add my journaling in the pocket later. I also used the arrow stamp with some white embossing powder on one of the banners.
I wanted to create a layout that was all boy to show that even with pastels you can get a boy/masculine layout. I used this month's featured Crafter's Workshop stencil for the background - I love that stencil it reminds me of Nate's lego boards. I also used the grungy bullseye stamp for a little more texture and to further support the theme of the layout. We have sold out of the Arrow Row and Quatrefoil Stamps but we do have a very limited amount of the Bullseye stamp left.
This last layout was actually a fun self imposed challenge - to see how many matching bits I could group together in each color block. This was an easy challenge as everything in this month's kit and add ons just flowed together seamlessly!
Thanks for stopping by!

I absolutely love this Pier 39 kit. It's my favorite Cocoa Daisy kit to date now! And your word "stronger"...I love that too. But why is it we have to hit a wall or rock bottom before we find out how strong we are? Or is it how weak we are- unless we trust in Him and HIs strength! Yes, I think that's more like it. I hope that you have a wonderful year year of growing stronger, happier, all-around healthier in life and of course, I wish you all the best with the fun of Cocoa Daisy too! Love and miss you and all my Michigan and scrapping friends...xo.
