Oct. Cocoa Daisy Sneak

This months kit was put together by Tara Whitney - and lucky me it was my month to work with the add-ons!!! I used the Luxe Jotters as a starting point to create this mini album full of little snipits about me. I loved playing with all these bright colors and fun patterns. I can honestly say I only have itty bitty scraps left of everything!

what a great day

I am soooo tired - but in a good way, we had an all day crop with the MI SISters today and I had a blast. Plus I actually did get some work done. Promise to post some Cocoa Daisy sneek peaks tomorrow!

Week #8 challenge

This is the final week of the use your stash challenges at Cocoa Daisy! This weeks challenge is to use your foam stamps. I did a little something different when I stamped my title I first used small letter stickers to create the "where's my spoon" part and then stamped over them (using them as a mask) with my foam stamps. Once the paint dried I outlined the stickers with a black pen then carefully peeled them up. The final step was to color in the masked area with a colored pencil. Loved using the Obscure line from Basic Grey for my pp, it matched Nate's pj's just perfect!

I said I was going to make a pie with those apples - here it is! I wish I could share a piece with all of you it turned out just perfect!

Doing a happy dance!

My clip it up came today! I have a "homemade" one that I store all my rub ons and alpha stickers on, but I have wanted another one to hold all my die cuts and other misc. stickers. Well now I am the proud owner of a "real" clip it up!

Favorite season

Fall is my favorite time of year, and fall means fresh apples! I stopped at the produce stand today and picked up enough for a pie and snacks for Nate's school lunch. I need to go back and get some more so I can make some home made applesauce!

Layout for the Missyjack from Scrapjack. I wanted to scrap about my bench for so long glad this jack came along it was the perfect inspiration! The hidden journaling on the tag reads:
"I love this potting bench, not so much for what it does but for the memory it represents. One afternoon I asked my Dad to help me build a simple potting bench, well true to his carpentry nature he had to embellish and "do it right". Mom joined in and we all helped put it together.
We spent a wonderful afternoon together, laughing, bending nails and creating a treasure. Every time I see my bench I think of that afternoon and I smile. "

Week 6 challenge at Cocoa Daisy!

Here is my layout for week 6 "use your stash" challenge at Cocoa Daisy . This weeks challenge is all about using up some of those buttons! And don't forget that the winner each week gets a gift certificate from Cocoa Daisy! So dig out those, baskets, jars or bags of buttons and show us what you can do with them!

I mean where else could you get a cute Owl t-shirt for 6 bucks, a set of alpha stamps for a $1 and a very pretty pink ring (of course all I went there for was diapers, but you know how that goes!). I love that store!

All clean!

Well here it is my newly cleaned and organized scrap room (Kissy's garage as we call it!) The 3 tier wire basket is a great find from Hobby Lobby, (only $10!) I like to keep my newest supplies in the top bin and my large background stamps in the other two. As you can tell I love baskets and glass jars for storage! Sorry for the bad glares in the photos - it's a basement room and I had to use my flash.



I got this great antique printers drawer on ebay - works perfect for my smaller rubber stamps. The two large "clothespins" are from pottery barn.



I love my project table! I like to stand and scrap so it's just perfect. The black and tan drawer units are from QVC. You can see my new little owl too - she is so cute!



These whiteboards are new and I rearranged some things so that I could hang them under the shelf. I love using the magnetic canisters to hold some of my smaller supplies, it helps to keep things out where I can see them - so I use them more. I also covered some clothespins with patterned paper and attached magnents to the back.



My special treasure - hubby found this for me at Hobby Lobby a few years ago - the little drawers are perfect for small embellishments.



This is as clean as this will get! I have so much stowed away in this closet I think I could open a scrap store! But I think I have it organized enough so I can get at everything pretty quickly. I just need to do a little more labeling. I went from clear stacking trays to vertical cropper hopper storage for my patterned paper, it saved me so much room.



I use this wire basket to hold my little mini albums and special altered items.

One of the great things about Labor day...

...is the CSI marathon, and the Law & Order marathon! Great background scrapping noise!
