Cocoa Daisy September kit and layouts!!

August was so crazy that I'm still unsure how it's September 1st today! Only a couple more days and the boys are in school, I'm going to miss them, but they are ready (even though they don't want to admit it) and I am ready for them to be back in school!

Our September kit and add ons sold out so quickly this month, in fact we sold out quickly last month as well, so we are going to up quantities next month in the hopes that we will have more to go around. We still have some of the September paper packs and the Embellishment packs available. We also have some of the September stamps still available.

Here is a look at the main kit and add ons:

He Said She Said

His

Hers

Compromise

September Embellishment Pack

 September Stamps

And my September layouts:
HE SAID SHE SAID, I used mostly papers from the Compromise add on for this one. I also used the He Said She Said stamp set - so perfect for making a title! I loved how the theme of this kit gave me the jumping off point for this layout about having dinner with Jeffrey. I used an instigram photo taken when we were making dinner together. I also used my new Cameo for the first time to create the Today die cut. I love that Cameo!!

SUMMER MARKET, the bright patterned papers in this month's kit just make me happy :) I had to make a layout using a bunch of them so I cut out a bunch of chevrons with my Cameo and pieced them together. I machine stitched around them, I love the effect - makes me think of my Mom's quilts. I used the new Maya Mist White Out spray ink and a Balzer Designs stencil for the background. The little garland is from Basic Grey and comes pre-stitched! How cool is that! Another thing that makes me very happy is the moment that I captured in the photo of my Mom and Dad.

These Thickers from American Crafts are my new favorite!! The color and font is perfect and they included both upper and lower case letters!! I hope they make more in more colors.

TRASHIES, Again I used my Cameo to create the die cut of the days of the week. I love subtle tone on tone effects so I made sure to keep this layout simple and graphic and not overpower the die cut. I was also able to sneak in a bit of pink on this boy page about Nate playing with his trashies.

That's it for now, I guess I better get ready to start shipping kits out :) Have a great weekend!

Cocoa Daisy August Kit and Mini Album

A kit inspired by all things travel. There are airplanes and maps, cars and postal strips, tickets and boats, just the things you need to create projects that pull at the traveler in each of us. But say you’re not into travel? You’re in luck because even with its travel theme, this kit can be used for everyday layouts about life. The DT has definitely expanded this kit beyond travel, and you can too! Featuring exclusives from Ormolu, Maya Road, and Cocoa Daisy as well as papers and embellishments from Basic Grey and Heidi Swapp, along with a few others, Santa Fe Sunset is a kit you will enjoy just as much as you would watching the slowly sinking sun on the New Mexico horizon. And with our add on kits, you can make it last much, much longer.

U R Here is classic Me, in the form of a travel project kit. Shipping tags, glassine envelopes, paper bags, canvas, washi tapes, and chipboard are your foundation pieces. Black, white, and lots of kraft, typography from KaiserCraft, Bazzill, Jillibean Soup, and 7Gypsies, and pops of color throughout work seamlessly to help you create your very own travel inspired mini album. All you need to supply is the wanderlust.

Patina
Loaded with Heidi Swapp’s No Limits line, we’ve put together an add on kit brimming with banners, typography and twine. You’ll love the playful feel this kit has!

Embellishment Pack
More Ormolu flair, created especially to coordinate with Santa Fe Sunset tops the list on our August Embellishment Pack. Add to that wooden cameras, washi tape that works the orange from WRMK, bling from KaiserCraft, and some fun word tags, we don’t need to embellish (hee hee) this description any more!

Golden Dawn
Meant to enhance the main kit, our patterned paper add on has a color palette rather similar to a golden dawn, even though we really named after an art gallery in Santa Fe. Yellows and blues with touches of red, brown, and black will give you the flexibility to create even more projects with this month’s kits!

This month’s stamp subscription is huge. HUGE! There’s a set that features fun travel inspired words, a set with a world map (yes, the whole world) and a You Are Here tag, and finally a camera encircled with text. It’s truly a fun collection that you’ll be using over and over again. You’re friends are going to be jealous!

Currently our August kit, add ons and stamps are sold out, however we are offering a wait list for the stamps, main kit and the project kit. Just send me a note at mailboxes@cocoadaisy.com and let me know what wait list you would like to be added to.

I only had time this month to create my mini album project kit for my Design Team gallery:

To see all the rest of my U R Here mini album go check it out in my Cocoa Daisy gallery.

Have a great week!

The boss is away at CHA giveaway and promotion!

I am on a train right now heading to CHA in Chicago to check out all the great new product. I can't wait to see all the new lines up close and pick out what we will have in our upcoming Cocoa Daisy kits. I have to admit this is one of the best parts of my job!

So in celebration of all the new Cocoa Daisy goodies that are coming I thought we should do a fun giveaway, something that will help you store and organize the bits and pieces you get in your Cocoa Daisy kits.

Recently I saw this fabulous 4 tier revolving tray on Pinterest and had to have one - my paint dabbers and chalk inks needed a home! Well, I am so tickled with mine that I had to share a couple with our Daisies.

We are giving away TWO of them, one to our current subscribers and one to any new subscribers. Oh, and not only are we giving away the 4 tier tray, but I'm also going to add a few goodies from our store to help you fill it up!

Here is all you need to do:
Current Subscribers will be entered to win by purchasing a minimum of $25 worth of product from the store (this includes reveal night add ons) anytime from now until August 4th. Simply put Tray Giveaway in the comments section when you check out.

New Kit Subscribers will be entered to win by signing up for a 6 Month Kit Subscription. Just enter Tray Giveaway in the comments section when you check out.

Want a another chance to win? Refer a friend to Cocoa Daisy! Have a friend sign up for a 6 Month Kit Subscription, enter your name and Tray Giveaway in the comments section and you will both be entered. Every time a new friend signs up, your name gets entered again in the drawing.

We thrilled to now offer you the option of using Paypal when you do your shopping with us.

Be watching our Facebook and Twitter for CHA updates all this week! Have fun while I'm away.

Best wishes,
Christine

Lots happening at Cocoa Daisy!

I am about to dig and start packing for my CHA trip tomorrow, I love the summer show because it is so close and I can get there by train. I love traveling by train, so much more relaxing than flying! I also need to pack for the boys as they will be seeing their Grams and Poppy for a week :)
So excited to see all the new product, but most of all to see all my friends and have some fabulous dinners, another bonus of CHA is that you do so much walking during the day that you can have nice big dinners without the guilt.

Before I go start packing though, I thought I should share some of the sneaks and happenings going on at Cocoa Daisy. First the sneaks!

Our August kit is for anyone who’s ever traveled across regions, continents, or the world. It’s for those who simply dream of setting out to explore.
Inspired by the artwork of Santa Fe based artist Mark White, we’ve blended oranges, yellows, and degrees of blues together to create a scrapbooking masterpiece. Featuring exclusives from Maya Road and Ormolu, along with newly released product from Heidi Swapp, Basic Grey and My Mind’s Eye, we know you’ll love sitting down and scrapping with our colorful Santa Fe Sunset.
Our add ons are named after two Santa Fe art galleries, and we’ve included a special travel based project kit designed by Christine. Check our message boardsFacebook, and Twitter for more sneaks from the Design Team as the month progresses!
You can see closer views of the tags on the Cocoa Daisy blog here.
I can't leave out this month's stamps - which are awesome!! Wait till you see just how big that map stamp is! Here is a little peek at those:

Our sweet Nat Kalbach is leaving Cocoa Daisy, I will miss her so much, but wish her all the best in her future endeavors. Thankfully I get to see her at CHA and give her a big hug :) With an empty DT space needing to be filled I believe we found the perfect new addition to our team, Jody Ferlaak is joining us beginning with the August kit. I have know Jody since the "Michigan Sisters" would get together and scrap, our little group has all gone their own ways but we had some fun times scrapping together! You can read more about Jody and see a few examples of what she created with the July kit on the Cocoa Daisy blog.We aim to please at Cocoa Daisy and after having a number of people inquire about using Paypal to check out at the store, I am thrilled to say we now accept Paypal!

OH! And did I mention a very special giveaway we are going to have? Well I can't tell you yet
(I know it's not fair to tease) but I will give you a hint:

Watch for the Cocoa Daisy newsletter tomorrow for the details of our special giveaway/promotion.

You can sign up for the newsletter on the homepage of our site
(just scroll down to the bottom).

OK, now I've got to go feed the troops, finish the laundry and get packing! Have a great week everyone!

Cocoa Daisy July kit and layouts!

It’s here! Our July Kit and add ons! We’ve had rave reviews from our Design Team about Note to Self, let us tell you why. We’ve got TWO alphabets, a whole pack of office themed tidbits, some fun mini paper clips, lots of vintage inspired papers, and a fabulous stamp set that you’ll come back to over and over again! And to make the kit even more special, we’ve included a sweet little metal note holder! We know you’ll love this kit as much as we do at Cocoa Daisy!

You can see all of July's add ons here in the store or here on the blog.

I do want to highlight one of the add ons, the To Do patterned paper add on was one of my favorites not hard to imagine, I know, as I am such a paper lover :)
Here are the fronts which are very lovely:
but I also loved the "b-sides"!

Here is what I created with this month's kit; little side note I do not know what was in the air this month or this kit was just that inspiring to me, but I finally got my creative drive back! It's been so long since I had the NEED to scrapbook and it felt sooo good to want to spend any spare moment I could creating, LOVE THAT FEELING!

"The Cocoa Daisy Staff"
I adore tags!! I knew I was going to use every bit of that Crate Paper tag paper. The little flag and badge are from the Take Note add on. The Work die cut is from the Embellishment Pack and the little arrow is from the days of the week stamp set. Background is Maya Mist Mustard.

"Fur Buddy"
All the little tidbits in this month's kit just screamed to be layered! And of course you all know how much I love tags ;) The washi tape and die cuts are from the Embellishment pack, the Note to Self sticker and the little flag are from the Take Note add on. I made the splats of ink in the background with the Maya Mist Antique Patina.

"Daily Boost"
Index tabs and book plate die cut are from the main kit. The October Afternoon little flag is from the Take Note add on. The alpha stickers and Thickers are from the Pencil In add on. I used a little bit of the Maya Mist Buttermilk Cream on the wood grain patterned paper.

"A promise"
I loved the papers so much in this kit that I had to do a layout using nice big chunks of them! The background is a mix of the Maya Mist Buttermilk Cream and Mustard. The little badge is from the Take Note add on.

on a personal note - yup that's my hand :) Jeffrey gave me the most beautiful promise ring,  that man just makes my heart happy!

Make sure you check out what the rest of the Design Team did with this month's kit in our gallery.

Have a great weekend!!
